What Do You Think Of The Site So Far?

I'm on a 2nd gen Kindle Fire so answering from this perspective - everything looks great !

A couple things don't  work well, but that is to be expected,  because they're Flash-based on the Left side.

Navigating registration with the KF was a breeze,too.

You know I didn't even think about flash not working with most tablets...lol  I need to see if there is a workaround for that or I may scrap Flash for something that works everywhere like maybe JavaScript.

That is if I decide to make this public.  I've basically been using this as a test bed
to try out the various modules and see what works and what doesn't

Yeah I've always preferred a dark theme to the lighter ones and I hate really bright colors...LOL

I don't know how much of an "expert" I am but I do enjoy teaching people how to do things and learning from others.  I also am a firm believer that you don't have to talk down to people in order to teach them.

Let's face it, at one time or another, we were all new at this.  I want to let people know that learning never ends without sinking to the level of the many pretentious asses out there that look to stroke their own egos. 

That's how I learned and I want to share that with other people and in return learn from them also.

Thanks, I really wanted to keep away from skinning the forum with a Christmas skin because it's too much of a pain to make everything look right and since it's only for a month at most, I figured this was the way to go. Plus I really like this skin I have on now. The lights and snow are both JS plugins and the banner is something I just put together.

I may play a bit with the snow effect more but other than that I'm pretty happy about the way it came out.

BTW, You can invite people to sign up if you want. I pretty much have everything the way I want (although I'm still trying to figure out a cool way to implement an old school type arcade) and some new people can really pick things up. I'm going to try and get some friends signed up on my end too and we'll see how it goes.

Invite whomever you want. I want people from all walks of life as the concept is to be a site where we can discuss and educate ourselves. They can anyone from seasoned computer geeks to the person just starting to learn about technology.

I'd like to build a community of people helping people without the ego that sites like Life Hacker tend to convey.
