Immunet- A Cloud Based Malware Solution

Post by Mojo on Fri Sep 06, 2013 10:27 pm

While on the subject of internet security, I forgot about 1 other product for fighting malware.

Immunet  ([You must be registered and logged in to see this link.])

A cloud based system designed to find and neutralize malware before it gets on your PC.  When you download the software it connects you to the cloud and to the other people using the immunet software.  It then protects everyone from malware in it's database automatically in the background.

Another interesting feature is that if a user gets infected with a new type of malware, it immediately protects everyone else from the infection automatically.  It also can be installed with a traditional anti-virus scanner without affecting either program, which is not the case for traditional anti-virus scanners.

They have a free and paid version but I've only used the free version which thus far has impressed me.  It works well and works behind the scenes without taxing the pc.

Let me know if you use anything similar.  I really believe this is where anti-malware is heading into the future as to stop bad things from happening is always better than cleaning up afterwards..
